In April 10th,  2026 FatCat's modern Classical imprint 130701 Records will release Juha Mäki-Patola’s new LP ‘Momentary Movements of Landscapes’.

Rooted in a deep connection to Nordic nature, ‘Momentary Movements of Landscapes’ evokes imagery of forests, shorelines, and dreamlike states. Its lush, immersive textures suggest a form of waking sleep—music that gently suspends time, offering emotional refuge and reflection. The album provides a sonic space to pause, drift, and reconnect with the elemental: earth, wind, water, and the unseen.

Combining ambient minimalism with modern classical nuance, Mäki-Patola continues to develop a distinct sonic language—merging genre-blurring aesthetics with a tactile sense of place. ‘Momentary Movements of Landscapes’ is an invitation to listen deeply and lose oneself in its gentle, undulating embrace.

In 2019, Juha began to create introspective and reflective instrumental pieces that sought a specific calmness – compelling but unhurried. With this he arrived on the international scene fully formed with his debut solo record 'Breath' in 2020 released by Hush Hush Records (Seattle, US). The record was met with widespread acclaim, catching the eye of critics and journalists as well as fellow artists. He received a wealth of requests to collaborate on new material, and has in the years since released a trio of collaborative genre-bending albums with Norwegian pianist Julia Gjertsen and Finnish clarinetist Tapani Rinne in addition to his EP Vague Light in 2023. He began working with Moderna Records in the spring of 2024 with his split single Sunpath / Closer, and 'Holding Patterns' EP in September 2024. In March 2025 he released 'Solar Nights' LP of ambient music with Moderna Records.
